Blenheim Heights

Vancouver, Canada

This family asked me to utilize my love of mixing old with new and finding the balance between classic and fun. Their previous home was one of my favourites. Truthfully, I was sceptical that we could match what they were leaving. So I made a commitment that I would love the new house even more.

The house was basically move-in ready. Aside from landscaping work, we only needed to make a few cosmetic changes to the interior: a runner up the stairs and some paint. The main work involved picking key pieces to complement their existing collection of beautiful antiques and contemporary furniture.

Working with the brilliant people @ffabb_home, we were able to fill every space perfectly with bespoke sofas, sectionals, benches, and reimagined heirloom chairs.

The hits of turquoise throughout the house were influenced by the existing wallpaper in the dining room. Carrying a few key colours through a house can help pull everything together cohesively.

For the dining room furniture and occasional tables, I leaned on the experts at Once A Tree Furniture to blend the perfect stain colour, enhancing the existing floor colour running through the entire house.
